Thank you for your interest in The Field School of Hvar. Below are key dates, prices, and a brief application form to help us get to know your family.
Enrollment for Summer 2027 and Academic Year 2027-28 will open in June of 2026.
Pricing & Availability
Tuition is €1,300 per session in summer and €3,600 per session in fall and spring. Discounts are available for programs during the academic year. Please see here for more information.
There are no other required program costs. Accommodations are booked directly with the provider (more detail here). Prepared meals for children in the program and excursions for parents and families are available for an additional fee.

Ways to Save
Junior Guides
Responsible, outdoorsy kids ages 13 and older are invited to join our program for free as Junior Guides.
Switzerland
Families enrolled in The Field School of Hvar in Croatia save 50% on program fees for the Family NomadFest in Switzerland.
Academic Year
Families enrolled for both academic year sessions receive a 50% discount on monthly tuition. Large families receive an additional discount of 50% for fourth and subsequent children.
Enrollment Sequence

Receive invitation to enroll with detailed intake form.
Submit 50% tuition deposit. Deposits are fully refundable up to roughly 6 months in advance of season start date: December 31 for the following summer, March 31 for the succeeding fall, and September 31 for the succeeding spring.
Book accommodations. The Fontana is currently accepting bookings for summer and fall of 2026.
Join or watch virtual orientation introducing family platforms and resources, such as our community contract, lending library, skill shares, and Field Store. This takes place 3 to 5 months before start of season.
Final pre-departure welcome letter with packing and other travel tips. Connect with faculty and families in your session via chat. This takes place two weeks in advance of each session.
Attend in-person orientation on Hvar on the first Sunday of your session!
We are excited to get a sense of who you are as a family. What are your interests? What excites you about our program? Are your children approaching outdoor adventure and artisanship as a new challenge or are activities like these already part of their lives?
Key policies:
Families joining Field for the first time may enroll in at most two sessions.
Field is an active, outdoor program in English. Our team unfortunately cannot serve children who require consistent one-on-one support. Please be candid about any concerns you may have so that we can best support you and your child.

As a small program with significant hard costs, we are unable to offer refunds under any circumstances past the dates listed above. Families are urged to purchase travel insurance to protect themselves from unexpected disruptions.
